Zhishen Wu,born in June 1961.Professor, doctoral supervisor; Dean of IIUSE；Member of the 13th CPPCC National Committee; Member of Japanese Academy of Engineering (foreign), Member of European Academy of Science and Arts; National Key Talent Program, Changjiang Scholar, recipient of National Distinguished Youth Fund (Class B), chief scientist of Project 973, member of discipline Review Group of Academic Degree Committee of The State Council, Member of Environment and Civil Resources of Science and Technology Committee, Ministry of Science and Technology Committee, Ministry of Education, Innovation Team (leader) and Jiangsu Innovation Team (leader).
He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Nanjing Institute of Technology (now Southeast University) from 1979 to 1986, and received his Doctor of Engineering degree from Nagoya University in 1990.He served successively as a teaching assistant at Nagoya University in Japan, a visiting scholar at Northwestern University, an associate professor at Saitama University, and an associate professor at Ibaraki University.In 2002, he became a professor of baraki University, became the youngest professor in the history of the university, and served successively as the dean and director of the research center.Southeast University since 2005, Director of the International Research Center for Urban Engineering Science in 2006, Director of Jiangsu Basalt Fiber Engineering Center in 2009, and Southeast University in 2010 Special Assistant to the President, Dean of Academic Special Institute of Urban Engineering Science and Technology, Director of Academic Committee of Civil Engineering, Level 1 Academic Leader; Director of National and Local Joint Engineering Research Center of basalt Fiber Production and Application Technology, Vice Chairman of Engineering Technology Committee of National Prestressed Engineering and Technology Research Center; Director of Key Laboratory of Concrete and Prestressed Concrete Structure of Education in 2013, Deputy Director of Academic Committee of Southeast University in 2018.
