Basalt Fiber Production and Application Technology National Local Joint Engineering Research Center (hereinafter referred to as Engineering Research Center) is a national innovation platform approved by the National Development and Reform Commission. It was established in November 2011, and is one of the first national engineering research centers jointly constructed by the state and local authorities in Jiangsu Province, as well as one of the first national and local unified engineering research centers in Jiangsu Province. The center is led by Southeast University and jointly established by Nanjing Jiangning District Government, with the participation of relevant enterprises across the country. The center aims to become a leading platform for research and development of key basalt fiber technologies, industrial development and talent gathering nationwide and internationally, and to provide strong support for the leapfrog development of civil engineering, materials science and related disciplines.
In recent years, the Engineering Research Center has focused on the development of key technologies for the stabilization, scale and high-end production of basalt fiber raw yarn, and also on the breakthrough of key technologies for the industrial application of basalt fiber and its composite materials in civil construction and transportation, energy, environment and chemical industry, automobile and aviation.
The Engineering Research Center has accomplished a lot of basic and pioneering research work, which includes proposing the design and performance improvement technology of high-performance continuous basalt fiber stabilization theory and production technology basalt fiber, establishing high performance basalt fiber reinforced composite products and their performance evaluation system and enhancement technology. Numerous research works on BF and BFRP provide the basis for the production of high strength, high temperature resistance and high alkali resistance basalt fiber.
At the same time, the engineering research center focuses on independent intellectual property rights, so it has created the production and application technology and standardization system of high-performance basalt fiber in China and established the application technology system of basalt fiber production. After years of development, the Engineering Research Center has become an important platform for basalt fiber research and development and industrialization in China.
玄武岩纤维生产与应用技术国家地方联合工程研究中心(以下简称 工程研究中心)是经国家发展和改革委员会批准成立的国家级创新平台。其成立于2011年11月,是江苏省首批国家地方联合建设的国家级工程研究中心是江苏省首批国家和地方统一的工程研究中心之一。中心由东南大学牵头,联合南京市江宁区政府共同组建,全国各地相关企业也参与其中。中心旨在成为全国乃至国际领先的玄武岩纤维关键技术研发、产业发展和人才聚集平台,并为土木工程、材料科学及相关学科的跨越式发展提供有力支撑。近年来,工程研究中心紧紧围绕玄武岩纤维原丝生产的稳定化、规模化、高端化等关键技术开发,以及玄武岩纤维及其复合材料在土建交通、能环化工、汽车航空等方面的产业化应用关键技术的突破,做了大量基础性和开拓性的研究工作,提出了高性能连续玄武岩纤维稳定化理论和生产技术玄武岩纤维的设计和性能改进技术,建立了高性能玄武岩纤维增强复合材料制品及其性能评价与提升技术,为生产高强度、耐高温、高抗碱的玄武岩纤维提供了基础,并形成自主知识产权,创立了我国高性能玄武岩纤维生产和应用技术及标准化体系,建立了玄武岩纤维生产的应用技术体系,成为我国玄武岩纤维研究开发和产业化的重要平台。
